This aluminum catamaran will serve a role in patrolling California State waters andQuality Systemsinternational waters along the California Coast, fortheCaliforniaDepartmentofFishand Wildlife (CDFW). The 74 x 27.5 (OAL) twin engine, fixed propeller patrol vessel features will be built to U.S. Coast Guard standards. Thehydrofoilassistedvesselwillcombine innovative design features critical to modern maritimelawenforcementandisbasedon another AAM-built vessel. The new catamaran will feature a launching and retrieval system integrated into the stern of the vessel that will increase safety and reduce the time and man-power required to deploy the vessels rigid hull inflatable boat. It will allow for deployment and retrieval in under one minute. Additional vessel features include an electronics package which contains a FLIR M400 XR high reso-lution thermal imaging video with tracking to assist with patrol duties along the coast.The CDFW manages Californias fish, wildlife, andplantresources,andthehabitatsupon which they depend, for their ecological values and use and enjoyment by the public.
